DRDA Khm on pen-down strike

The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Kohima is on a pen-down strike since February 6 for non-payment of salaries for the past 7 months. The office rooms in the DRDA building located in the DC's complex, Kohima have since remained locked. This was learnt during a visit to the office wherein all the rooms were found locked. On further enquiry, it was learnt that by February end, the DRDA staff will complete 8 months without salaries. However no officials could be contacted for further details in this regard. It may be noted that the DRDA Kohima caters to at least 90 villages in Kohima district.
