Dream big: Norman Putsure College 3rd Freshers’ fiesta held

Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima hosted its 3rd Freshers’ fiesta on August 2.

Chümoukedima, August 3 (MExN): Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima hosted its 3rd Freshers’ fiesta with the theme of ‘Bridgerton’ on August 2. 

The formal session was hosted by Lallole Medo, BA 5th semester, Department of English. Kevilelhou Sokra spoke on behalf of the Freshers. Dr K Timothy, Principal in his address stated that college life is both “crucial “and “precious”. He stressed on the revival of good leadership in the society. He urged students to “be graduates in manners, characters and attitudes not only in academic degree.”

The chief guest, Thejavizo Nakhro, Land Revenue Officer, Chümoukedima, Government of Nagaland in his speech stressed on the importance of College life as it is a time for self discovery where one can explore beyond the Curriculum. He encouraged the students stating that “Mistakes are life lessons, do not be afraid to commit mistakes” and to embrace every opportunity in life. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams, dream big” were the final words of motivation from the chief guest.

After a diverse traditional, casual and question round, Kevilelhou Sokra was crowned Mr Freshers and Vipeni V Swu was crowned as Miss Freshers 2024, from the Department of Political Science.
