Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur has imposed temporary restrictions on the use of drones and certain activities in Chumoukedima district on March 6 in view of a VVIP transit.
According to an order issued by Commissioner, the area within Chumoukedima district has been temporarily declared a “Red Zone” (No Fly Zone) from 0600 hours to 1800 hours on March 6.
The order stated that the restriction has been imposed in view of the VVIP transit journey to Chumoukedima District on March 6 and that the measures are necessary “to strengthen the security measures.”
During the specified period, the use of any kind of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) or drones is prohibited within the district.
The order also restricts the conduct of any firing practice by security forces, civil police, central police, private firing ranges, or any civilian holder of licensed firearms. Bursting of firecrackers is also prohibited during the same period.
