Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) 36th general conference will be held from on June 24 and 25 at Town Hall, Dimapur with the theme ‘Essence of the age.’ The session will be graced by Azheto Zhimomi, MLA, Advisor Cooperation & Sericulture, government of Nagaland and Nikhashe Sema, CEO DMC Dimapur as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. The speaker for the literary session will be Dr. Khekugha Murru. In the literary session, there will be poetry completion based on the theme for high school level and debate will be held on the topic ‘Education be job oriented’ for higher secondary and above students.
Meanwhile, the Union president H. Toniho Achumi in a press release has informed that DSSU is collecting its student’s annual membership fee for the year 2011. The Union has fixed an amount of rupees 5 for class A to 10 and rupees 10 for class 11 and above. Therefore, the Union has requested to all the schools and the colleges authorities and the concerned parents to extend full cooperation and support to the Union while collecting the membership fee. DSSU also informs all the institutions to send two Sumi student representatives to represent their institution to the Union.
