Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) will be hosting its 36th general conference from June 24 to 25, 2011 at Town Hall, Dimapur with the theme “Essence of the Age”. Azheto Zhimomi, MLA and advisor cooperation & Sericulture Nagaland, and Nikhashe Sema NCS, chief executive officer DMC has consented to grace the function as chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
A press note issued by H.Toniho Achumi, president DSSU stated that Dr.Khekugha Muru will be the main speaker of the session with the topic “Avenues for Youth in Changing Economy”. The union extends its invitations to all senior leaders, GBs, Chairmen, fellowship convenor, former DSSU executives and well-wishers to attend the programme. Moreover, the Union has informed to all Sumi Students’ to reach the conference venue by 8:30 am with Sumi traditional attires. Further, the Union has requested to all the Schools, Colleges authorities to kindly cooperate and support to the union by granting leave to all the Sumi students for class five and above to attend and participate at this DSSU 36th general conference programme.
DSSU is also organizing HSLC & HSSLC toppers felicitation programme on the second day of the conference. The Union has informed to all the Sumi Topper’s and highest securing marks on particular subject students from Dimapur to kindly attend the programme, and to have a blessing for their further studies.
