Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has concluded its first phase of education tour. With an objective to streamline and centralize all its units and stakeholders, DSSU toured all its 12 units/areas wherein joint consultative meetings were held with area GBs, Sumi Council, STH, Church leaders, area elders and students, a press release from DSSU President, Tovika K Chishi and General Secretary, Steve Chophy informed. The main purpose of the tour, according to the release, was to bring all stakeholders of DSSU under one roof, have consultations and exchange ideas in the greater interest of the Sumi students in particular and Sumi community in general. DSSU President during the tour highlighted the activities of DSSU and its upcoming programs. He appealed for continued cooperation and prayer support from the units and parents. The release further informed that the second phase of tour of schools and colleges will start in the month of June, wherein the union will have joint meeting with the Sumi students. Informing that circulars and tour schedule will be passed on to the authorities for their references, DSSU has appealed to the authorities concerned for their cooperation and support.
