DSUN honours successful students

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Dimasa Students’ Union Nagaland (DSUN) organized felicitation programme for the successful students of HSLC, HSSLC and degree examinations 2016-2017 on July 29 at Dhansiripar community hall.

Fr. Sunny Minj, Youth Director, Don Bosco Provincial House, Dimapur was the resource person. He congratulated the students and also shared his life’s journey in brief. Fr. Sunny urged the students to have a clear aim to study with a purpose. Parents, he stated, should support their children in achieving their goals for it will be them who will reap what they plant and nurture.

According to a press release from Waisringdao Naiding, Publicity Secretary, DSUN, he told the students not to study for themselves alone but for others. “It is only then one can contribute to the family, to society, to the state, country and the whole world at large.” He also stressed on promoting “our own rich cultures.” Maintaining that no child is born by chance, he added, “No child is unfortunate, every child is special. Everyone is sent to this world by God with a special purpose.”

Lun Tungnung, President, Indigenous Minority Tribes of Nagaland (IMTN), who also graced the occasion as the special guest, gave a brief introduction of IMTN and urged the students to work harder. He encouraged them saying no one can stop them in achieving their goals if they work hard. The only problem is that the students along with the society do not dare to dream anymore and hence stop believing themselves, he added. He also urged the students to not only stick to the jobs provided by the State government but to avail the opportunity provided by the Central government.
