DTCC Peren organizes seminar on COTPA Act

New Police Reserve, Peren along with the staff of District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) Peren District during the one-day seminar for Police enforcements on COTPA ACT 2003.

Peren, November 4 (MExN): The District Tobacco Control Cell Peren organized a one-day seminar at New Police Reserve Peren on COTPA ACT 2003 on October 29.

Officers-in-charge of various outstations of Peren district and police personnel from Jalukie and other blocks attended the programme, a press release from District Media Officer, CMO Office, Peren stated.

Dr Sabino Kuotsu highlighted the various issues related to tobacco and the laws under COTPA Act. Superintendant of Police, Rukuwelo Mero, NPS stated that the law enforcers are the police personnel and that laws can be properly implemented and effectively only if the law holders is morally disciplined.

 
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Limaakum T Jamir also shared the same view and hoped to see change in the society through law enforcers.

Sub-divisional Police Officer Vikato Thonger supported the team with his presence. They pledged to guard the Act and give their support to the fight against tobacco.
