Kohima, March 9 (MExN): The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Nagaland conducted a three-day Faculty Development Module on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for faculty members of Government Polytechnics in the state from March 5 to 7 at the DTE Conference Hall in Kohima.
In his welcome address, Director of Technical Education Er Vipulhou Lhoungu encouraged the participants to make the most of the training programme and spoke about the need to stay updated with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, irrespective of academic background.
Altogether, 18 faculty members from various Government Polytechnics in the state took part in the programme. Debasish Sahoo, Senior Full Stack .NET Developer, Cloud and Database Specialist and Technical Trainer at Euphoria GenX, Kolkata, served as the resource person for the technical sessions.
During the programme, participants were introduced to practical applications of different AI platforms and tools used in everyday tasks. The sessions also covered structured prompting techniques and components of effective prompts to improve productivity in teaching and academic work.
The valedictory session was addressed by Joint Director Er David Tsela, who encouraged participants to integrate AI tools into teaching and research and continue exploring emerging technologies to support academic work.
