DTF Peren deliberates on check gate monitoring

Peren, September 15 (MExN): Peren District Task Force on COVID-19 meeting was held on September 14 at Deputy Commissioner's chamber, District Hq Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS who is also the DTF Chairman.

According to a DIPR report, after reviewing the new cases of COVID Positive in the district, the DC cautioned key workers to avoid lapses in managing cases and contact tracings. The meeting decided that medical staff will be temporarily withdrawn from the check gates due to difficulties faced by the Medical Department in managing resources.

The house directed the Police on duty at check gates to continue regulation of SOPs by screening & monitoring of all inbound travellers, timely reporting to the Control Room and to direct travellers from outside the State to staging ground without communication gap.

Government and Private Institutes in and around Jalukie town will be insisted to maintain their own designated quarantine centres for better management of returnees.

The DTF also directed the Sub-Divisional Task Forces (SDTFs) to monitor adherence of SOPs by the public especially travellers, review current situation and to report to the DTF by next week.

Regarding COVID Care Center (CCC), the DTF members decided to convert the existing quarantine centre at Girls' Hostel Veterinary College to CCC for both male and female, while Chapel Hall GHSS Jalukie will be utilised as quarantine centre for male returnees with the consent of concern authorities till alternate arrangement is done.
