DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): The Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church (Duncan) celebrated the AGBCN Youth Sunday and the 39th Foundation Day of the Women's Ministry on September 15.

The event, themed "Long way to go" (Philippians 3:13-14), emphasized the importance of perseverance and dedication in the spiritual journey. This theme resonated strongly with attendees, highlighting the enduring commitment required to follow God's path, a press release stated. 

Organized under the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches (AGBCN), the celebration saw participation from Gorkha/Nepali churches across Nagaland, bringing together the youth in a united expression of their faith.

The day's activities began with an invocation prayer by Kamal Sharma, Youth Pastor. This was followed by an uplifting praise and worship session led by the DTNBC Youth Ministry. The offering was blessed by Lily Singh, and Miss Sarah Gurung adeptly chaired the program, ensuring its smooth progression.

Tabita Sharma delivered a poignant message about the critical role of the Women’s Ministry in the church, reflecting on its leadership impact and significance.

Special musical numbers were presented by both the Youth Ministry and the Women’s Ministry, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion.

A special prayer was offered by Pastor Rajesh Thapa, who sought divine guidance, wisdom, and blessings for the youth ministry, the women’s ministry, and all AGBCN leaders. The scripture readings were conducted by Chuba Chetri in English and Asha Gurung in Nepali, providing a strong scriptural foundation for the day's message.

Atsune Veyie Rai delivered an inspiring sermon, encouraging attendees to remain steadfast in their spiritual journey, even amidst uncertainties. The event concluded with a benediction prayer by Dilu Gurung, Women Pastor, who reminded everyone of God's enduring love and grace.
