Dimapur: The Dimapur Urban Colonies Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCCF) has reaffirm its position and will stand by the October 31, 2013 Public Rally Resolution of ‘One Government, One tax.’
This was resolved during the emergency meeting of the DUCCCF held on May 21, at Lengrijan Council Hall, Dimapur. The meeting was attended by the chairman along with a council member from all the member colonies. Various issues pertaining Taxation by NPGs, development and social problems were discussed.
DUCCCF Media Cell in a press release stated that the Federation strongly felt that when the Public had adopted the resolution, the colonies or village council and GBs are helpless to collect the tax for the NPGs. Therefore, the DUCCCF urges the NPGs not to pressurize the colonies leaders to collect tax on their behalf. Since, the ball is clearly in the court of the Public.
DUCCCF has strongly warned the LPG black marketers. The Federation has resolved to check the LPG black-marketers within their respective colonies/areas. A fine Rs.5000/- shall be imposed on the defaulters and the LPG cylinders will be confiscated.
