Duration of VBSY Urban campaign in Nagaland extended

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): “Owing to popular demand,” the duration of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) Urban campaign in Nagaland has been extended till January 24 and will now cover 25 more Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of the state.

This was informed in a press release issued by PIB Kohima on Monday. In previous phases, the VBSY Urban campaign has already covered 16 ULBs. The extended campaign had begun from January 13 and has already covered Cheiphobozou Town Council under Kohima district and Meluri Town Council under Phek district.

The event today moved to Niuland district and one event was conducted at Clock Tower under Niuland Town Council. DC Niuland Sara S Jamir and EAC Vitoka Yepthomi attended the event as the special guest and the chairperson while ADC and Administrator, Niuland TC S Athsangla gave the welcome address.

On the spot services for Ayushman Bharat/Health camp, Ujjwala 2.0, PM SVANidhi and PMJJBY/MPSBY/APY were provided to the public during the event. Other highlights of the event were screening of recorded message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi & PM SAWANidhi by the LED mounted VBSY van, administering of the Sankalp pledge and sharing of success story by beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat.

In the second event conducted at the DC Office Junction in Longleng district, DC Longleng Dharam Raj and MTS, Longleng Town Council Isaac P Pongshi Keikung were the special guest and chairperson respectively. SDO (Civil) and District Nodal Officer VBSY Meyazungba Jamir welcomed the invitees and the participants. 

Similar schedule of programmes were also put up in the event while beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat and PM SVANidhi from self help group DAY-NULM shared their testimonies, PIB Kohima stated. 

After a break of one day, the next events will be conducted at Dimapur East Town Council, Tening Town Council in Peren district and Changtongya Town Council in Mokokchung district on Wednesday it added.
