
Kohima, October 21 (MExN): On the occasion of Durga Puja, the Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan has extended greetings and best wishes to all fellow brothers and sisters as they celebrate the festival.
It is a celebration to mark the victory of the good over the evil. It is not just a religious event but it is also a cultural and social event. It brings communities together, promote unity and provide a platform for artistic expression, the Governor stated in his greetings.
“I pray to Maa Durga to shower her blessings on each and every one with health, prosperity and happiness. God bless everyone!” he conveyed.
Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) has conveyed its wishes all the devotees a very ascetic Sharadiya Navratri, a very happy Durga Pujo and happy Dussehra. “May Maa Durga wipe out all the forces of evil from this earth and usher in peace, prosperity, and general well being of all mankind. We offer our sincerest obeisance at the feet of Maa Durga and seek her blessings for the world” said Adv KK Paul, President, DBS.
Chatteswary Durgabari celebration in Dimapur was graced by Ganesh Sharma, ex DMC official on October 20. In his speech, Sharma lauded the Durgabari Committee for their humanitarian act in the crisis period beside Puja celebration. All the Ex official members were felicitated. Earlier a small procession carried out children and women of all ages took part. Chatteswary Durgabari Secretary, Biplab Paul in his welcome speech urged the residents of the colony to enjoy next three days as family members.
