DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Diphupar Village Council (DVC) has strongly condemned the murder attempt on one Kumughato, allegedly by two of its residents identified as Amir Hussain, s/o Noor Jamal and Hojrot Alim, step brother to Noor Jamal on March 18 at Pimla village.
In a condemnation note, the DVC said such heinous crime has no place in the civilized society and has resolved to expelled Noor Jamal and family from the jurisdiction of Diphupar village for life with effect from April 3, 2024. This resolution was made during the village council meeting held on March 27, the condemnation note stated.
Cautions against forming unauthorised union
The DVC, meanwhile, cautioned its citizens to be vigilant and abstain from forming any organisations, forums, unions’ etc. while highlighting that there are “many unwanted self styled leaders mushrooming within the Village jurisdiction.”
Also reaffirming the resolutions adopted in 1994, 2010 and 2021, the DVC notified that the only legitimate organisations within the village are Diphupar Village Council, Diphupar Naga Women Organisation, Diphupar Naga Youth Organisation, Diphupar Naga Students Union and the nine community bodies with their organisations.
