DIMAPUR, AUGUST 26 (MExN): The Diphupar Village Council (DVC) on Sunday alleged that the present crisis within Diphupar villages is the fall out of the mobilization/convergence of MGNREGA fund taken by the Rural Development department.
It has therefore resolved to file an FIR against the Director of RD department for taking the mobilization/convergence fund from Diphupar village by the department.
The decision was taken after a consultative meeting of the Dimapur District GB Federation, Chumukedima Area GB Union, Nagaland VDB Association, Dimapur District VDB Association, Village Council Chairmen Forum under EAC Chumukedima and members of the DVC, GBs and VDB was held on August 25.
According to a press release issued by Kekhwetsu, Head GB, Diphupar Village, the Director, RD department should not hold his office for fair inquiry when the FIR is filed.
It also demanded that since all the members of the DVC, GBs and VDB have refunded the amount to EAC Chumukedima, the Director, RD department should also refund the amount taken from Diphupar village to EAC Chumukedima.
