
DIMAPUR, MARCH 2 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton today expressed sadness over the demise of Rev Pikuto Achumi, father of Kavili Achumi, state BJP vice president at Kohima on March 2.
“Late Rev Pikuto Achumi was a wonderful human being and a humble servant of God, who walked the path that only few has chosen. His death is not only a loss to the family but the Nagas as a whole,” a press release from the Deputy CM stated. He further expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, Nagaland BJP President and H&TE Minister, Temjen Imna Along expressed pain at Achumi’s death and said that he was a committed man “full of zeal to find the true purpose of his life.”
“This enthusiasm had led him to encounter Christ Jesus that had changed his whole outlook on life. It was this passion for Christ that had inspired him to serve the Lord till his last breath,” he added.
The Minister expressed condolences to the bereaved family members and stated: “It is our prayer that the bereaved family stays strong together and hold on, because the good deeds and legacy left behind by their father will forever be imprinted in the hearts of all those who are fortunate to have walked with him in this life.”
