
Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton and others greeted the Lotha community on the occasion of Tokhu Emong.
According to a message from the Dy CMO Media Cell on Sunday, Patton stated that Tokhu Emong is a festival of thanksgiving and merry making after a bountiful harvest and a time to forgive and reconcile while forging for peace and unity. “In invocation of God's blessings upon the people, the Dy CM on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed warm Tokhu Emong greetings and hope that it is celebrated in the true spirit of love and forgiveness,” the message stated.
NSCN/GPRN (Akato Chophi): In a separate press release issued through its MIP, the NSCN/GPRN (Akato Chophi) stated that the Lothas are one of the advanced Naga tribe who are known for their hard work, dedication and sincerity. “…NSCN is optimistic that with these qualities, our Lotha brothers and sisters will continue to inspire and lead other Nagas from the forefront,” it said while highlighting the significance of the festival.
LJP (Ram Vilas) Nagaland unit: Meanwhile, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Nagaland unit also extended warm greetings to the Lotha community on the auspicious occasion of Tokhu Emong. May this festival bring happiness, peace and oneness among us, it said in a message from its Media Cell.
