Kohima, January 28 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party (BLP) leader Y Patton has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, who passed away on January 28.
In his condolence message, Patton described Pawar as a senior public figure who devoted several decades to public service and governance, holding key responsibilities in the Maharashtra government and contributing significantly to the state’s development.
Likewise, he recalled Pawar as a leader who remained closely connected with the people and discharged his duties with a strong sense of responsibility, stating that his contributions to public life and administration would be remembered by colleagues and citizens alike.
Patton also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and supporters of Ajit Pawar and prayed that they find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Nagaland Deputy Speaker S Toiho Yeptho
Nagaland Deputy Speaker S Toiho Yeptho also expressed deep pain over the tragic demise of Ajit Pawar.
In a condolence message, Yeptho recalled Pawar as a six-time Deputy Chief Minister whose life was marked by unwavering commitment to public welfare and a distinguished career in governance. He noted that Pawar began his political journey with dedication and humility and was first elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Baramati Assembly constituency in 1995, continuing to represent the constituency through successive terms.
Yeptho said he had the privilege of being closely associated with Pawar and would always cherish his warmth, guidance and affection, describing him as “Dada”, a leader known for strength, compassion and inspiration.
Terming his demise a great loss to his family, supporters and the larger public fraternity, Yeptho said Pawar’s contributions to Maharashtra’s progress and his legacy of service would be remembered with gratitude.
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) also expressed profound grief and shock over the sudden and untimely demise of Pawar, terming it an irreparable loss to his family, supporters, the political fraternity and the people of Maharashtra.
In a condolence message, the party said Pawar was a seasoned leader and dedicated public servant who played a vital role in the political and developmental journey of the state.
Extending condolences on behalf of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), National Secretary S Richard Humtsoe expressed sympathy with the bereaved family, colleagues and admirers, and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.
