The Darogapathar Youth Organisation (DYO) organised an Inter-Block Futsal Tournament at the A1 Power Play, Near Chekiye Village Gate on April 21 and 22.
Altogether, 14 teams took part in the tournament which was conducted under two categories – Senior and Junior.
In the Junior category, Real Madrid FC edged United Brothers via penalty shootout 2-1 to win the final. Both teams were locked in a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
In the other final, a persistent Friends United beat Invaders 5-3 to claim the trophy in the senior category.
Chief guest at the closing ceremony, Kuchi Zeliang, Managing Director of Case Constructions, gave away the prizes to the winners.
Earlier the tournament was inaugurated on Friday by Dimapur Commissioner of Police Limasunep Jamir as chief guest and ADCP Crime Shouka Kakheto as guest of honour. The inaugural programme was followed by an exhibition match between senior members of DYO and frontal organizations of Darogapathar along with the chief guest and guest of honour which ended 4-4.
