DYRS conducts Inter School Athletics Meet 2025 in Kohima

In commemoration of National Sports Day, the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland today conducted Inter School Athletics Meet 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.

Gracing the inaugural programme, Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Department of Youth Resources & Sports stressed on the need to take sports seriously as “it is a career in itself.”

Sekhose said that National Sports Day is celebrated on 29 August every year to commemorate the birthday of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

He said that winners of the athletics meet will be felicitated on August 29 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima at 10 AM.
The winners have been asked to come along with teacher in-charge on that day.

Earlier, Megolhu Dolie, Additional Director, DYRS assisted the event as tournament incharge and Tokavi Zhimomi LDA DYRS as compere.
