The Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) today vehemently opposed a particular question on the Dzukou Valley appearing in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) preliminary examination held on May 25 this year and the subsequent competitive examination book published under the name Pratiyogita Darpan (DP) where the same ‘ controversial question’ was put up. The MSF said that the UPSC should clarify its stand within seven days or face series of agitation from the student body.

Talking to media persons this afternoon, the MSF general secretary voiced strong opposition on the ‘Match the List’ question where names of four states were given on side of the list and the names of four valleys where given on the other. In the list the state Nagaland was given to match the Dzukou Valley but out of the four states’ names given, Manipur was missing.

Given this development, the MSF leader said that the UPSC being the highest competitive civil exam authority is trying to disintegrate Manipur state which the authority (UPSC) needs to clarify their stand within seven days apart from sending objection letter to the Competitive Exam book publisher of Pratiyogita Darpan (DP) based at New Delhi to cross check its book.

He then warned all the book stores to stop selling the DP competitive examination books in Manipur until the response from the UPSC is received and if no response comes forth from the authority, all the books will be burnt down after seven days for disrespecting the integrity of Manipur.
