Dzüvichü clan makes stand on Vincent murder case

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Dzüvichü Clan of Kohima Village today replied to the Khrama Khel of Nerhema Village who had earlier stated that the relatives and family members of Late Vincent Dzüvichü are accusing Mrs. Baby as a conspirator in the murder of her late husband and their clarification to the June 20 incident.

“We would like to make it clear to Khrama Khel that the relatives and family members are closely following the progress of the investigations and whatever we say and do are as per the findings and report given to us by the investigation team,” a press statement said.

“Likewise, the WLL Phone No- 2108853 was given to us by SP, Dimapur and we have helped them in locating this caller and hence the word ‘mastermind’ is highly questionable and even at this point of time the statement given by Mrs Neingunuo Belho, the owner of WLL No- 2108853 is null and void there are still lots of room for suspicion and we could not believe that Mrs. Baby is innocent.”

Giving reason that the first confessional statement of Bendang was that although he himself had killed his own father, the statement said: “his step-mother at Kohima knew everything and told the police to ask the suspicious behaviour of Mrs. Baby, contradicting statements of witnesses and the findings that followed added fuel to the case.”

The Dzüvichü Clan further alleged that the indifferent attitude of Police personnel in handling the case at the later stage of investigation has made things “more difficult and suspicious.”

“It is a shameful act and we accepted the fact that Mr. Bendang, one of our own sons had committed the most satanic act of killing his own father and he deserved to be punished in the most severe sense but we still believe that the truth has not come out yet.”
