Tuensang, February 7 (MExN): EAC Shamator, Mekato J Aye visited Sotokur Circle to engage with local communities, focusing on education, health, and gender equality.

An update from the DIPR stated that during his visit on February 7, Aye toured the Community Health Centre and schools in Kuthur and Sotokur, where he highlighted the importance of girl child enrollment in schools and celebrated 10 years of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative with a tree plantation drive.

Aye interacted with school authorities and students, particularly those preparing for their matriculation exams. Discussions centered on improving educational outcomes and increasing support for female students.

In a separate meeting with village councils, Aye collaborated with the Community Health Officer (CHO) to organise health awareness programs, focusing on menstrual hygiene. As a part of the health initiative, Aye presented infant health care kits to support community well-being.
