Kohima, December 28 (MExN): The Eagles’ Club K Station celebrated its 25th anniversary cum 11th Eagles Trophy at KSU Ground, K Station on December 27 under the theme ‘towards higher echelon.’ 

A press release received here stated that Rev James Kath, Pastor KSBC dedicated the anniversary monolith. Special guest Er Abija Khing, EE, PWD Housing Nagaland inaugurated the ceremony and released the souvenir commemorating the silver Jubilee.

On the occasion the special guest in his speech appreciated the club for its continuous growth and challenged the teams “to unravel the talents and carry forward excelling in the field of football.” He encouraged the club to live and keep up the vision of the founding members. 

Enock Seb, Associate Professor, Mt TTC Zunpha was the guest speaker. In his key note address, Seb spoke on the theme, highlighting its true meaning which is encompassed with sincerity, discipline, determination, support and adjustment. He added that the priority of the game “is to win the hearts of the people, by displaying a good sportsmanship.”

Kenneth Kath, Convener Organizing Committee, Tezenthong Kath, President Eagles Club, GK Rengma, President RSA, Wasenlo Kath, President, Kandi Student Union, S Akhu Kath, Member Organizing Committee spoke on the occasion. A folk dance was presented by CED, KSBC which was later followed by a special performance of the Eagles’ anthem. Tiwalo Apon, Games & Sports Secretary, led the oath taking, with the Special Guest declaring the tournament.
