 
                          
                  
KOHIMA, JULY 8 (MExN): A District Early Intervention Centre has been established at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) with basic facilities to conduct tests for hearing, vision, behavioural assessments, etc, for children within the targeted group of 0 to 18 years.
This was informed today in a press release from the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Diethono Nakhro.
As per information received from Mission Director NHM, the press note informed that the assessments will be free of cost while aid for secondary and tertiary care at the empanelled hospitals will be as per Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) model costing.
The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is an initiative which envisages Child Health Screening and Early Intervention Services, a systemic approach of early identification of medical conditions and link to care, support and treatment. The objective is early identification and early intervention for children from birth to 18 years to cover 4 ‘D’s - Defects at birth, Diseases in children, Deficiency conditions and Developmental delays including Disabilities.
