Kohima, February 3 (MExN): Lieutenant General Abhay Krishna, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command visited the Army’s Spear Corps in Dimapur on February 3.
General Abhay Krishna reviewed the security situation in the North East with special emphasis on forthcoming months in Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram as well as Upper and South Assam, informed a press release from Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence).
He also undertook an assessment of the operational preparedness along the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh as well as the situation along the Indo-Myanmar Border, the release said.
Having expressed his satisfaction with the operational preparedness of Spear Corps, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief returned to Kolkata on February 3 itself, according to the Defence PRO.
The General Officer was received by Lieutenant General Gopal R, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps.
