MLA C Kipili Sangtam addressing the Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union 18th general conference held at Shothumi-A

Dimapur, January 10 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union (ENSSU) held its 18th general conference at Shothumi-A, Kiphire with the theme “Navigating societal turbulence, bridging divides for a resilient future.”
During the conference, guest of honour C Kipili Sangtam, MLA & Chairman, DPDB, Kiphire, emphasised the importance of unity among diverse tribes, urging student bodies to actively combat drug abuse. A press release issued by the media cell ENSSU stated that he highlighted economic management as a crucial aspect of students' lives and stressed the need for student involvement in monitoring the proper utilization of resources for rural development, underscoring its impact on society as a whole.
The opening prayer was offered by Hekuto Kinny, Pastor of Shothumi-A, and welcome address was eloquently delivered by Head GB, Khehovi Yeptho. The opening ceremony featured a presentation by the Lukhami Village Students’ Union, complemented by welcome song from the host village.
