Ecclesia Theological College & Seminary 20th graduation was held at the Kim Jin Won Chapel, Darogajan, Dimapur on May 15.
Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): The Ecclesia Theological College & Seminary (ETCS) 20th graduation for the Academic Year 2023-2024 was held at the Kim Jin Won Chapel, Darogajan, Dimapur on May 15.
The graduates were addressed by Rev Losii Mao, General Secretary, Manipur Baptist Convention with the emphasis on exercising the knowledge obtained in the course of training reminding that the greater training begins in the ministry, stated a press release received here.
Rev Losii advised the graduates to engage into Church ministry stating, “Whether being paid or unpaid, the graduates should not wait for the call or appointment but to be engaged.” He also said that the ministry is all about people and all point back to disciples making.
He exhorted the graduates saying, “Theological education is incomplete without spiritual formation, and if making disciple is not our priority we are wasting time. We should not waste our time entertaining people and deceiving self, if there are no making disciples theologians should not run after the degree.”
The welcome address was delivered by Rev Dr Vikheshe Chishi, Founder and Principal of ETCS. The valedictory speech was given by Ashikali H Yeptho.
All together 28 students were conferred degrees and certificates: 14-Bachelor of Theology, three - Certificate in Bachelor of Theology, 8-Master of Divinity and 1-Certificate in Master of Divinity, 1- Bachelor of Theology in Distance Course and 1- Master of Divinity in Distance Course.
Sheloho Ayemi and Kumkila C Yim received the Certificate in Church Music; Kankhui B. Th-Academic excellence; Ashikali H Yeptho, M. Div - Academic excellence; Y. Moilang, B. Th - Christian Leadership award; 100% Chapel attendance from B. Th -Monyu Konyak, Kumkila C Yim, Y Moilang; 100% Devotion attendance from B. Th-Kumkila, N Monyu Konyak, Selena Hangam, Y Moilang; 100% Devotion attendance from M. Div- Lika Achumi, Munulu Puro, Thronglise Sangtam; Bible memory verse Record Holder written 585 (NKJV) - Onen Ao; highest scored among the Graduates written 251 (NKJV) -Kankhui B. Th. The Best Preaching among the B. Th- Onen Ao; Best Preaching among M. Div-Ashikali H Yeptho; Best Discipline award -S Khumjila Yim.
The programme was led by Iboli Tsüqü, Lecturer and benediction was pronounced by Rev Dr Athsan, Chairman, Executive Committee, ETCS.
