The Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) photo exhibition was held on February 14 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima with the first day visit of the Election Commissioner of India (ECI) team. The SVEEP booklet was also released by the ECI officials.
The Photo Exhibition displayed various activities under SVEEP like VVPAT Awareness and Demonstration, Street play on Eliminating Malpractices, Assessment Camp for Persons with Disabilities, Seminar on Qualititative Participation in Terms of Ethical and Informed Voting and others.
Rawat along with his team of six members from the Election Commission of India had a meeting with the Political Parties at Hotel Japfu, Presentations were given by CEO and State Nodal Officers. The ECI team also had a review meeting with the Commissioner, DEOs and Security Personnel.
The ECI officials included OP Rawat, Chief Election Commissioner; Sunil Arora, Election Commissioner; Ashok Lavasa, Election Commissioner; Sudeep Jain, Deputy Election Commissioner; Dilip Sharma, Director General; Direndra Ojha, Director General; Narendra N. Butolia, Principal Secretary. The ECI team will have a meeting with the Chief Secretary, DGP, Income Tax, RBI, Narcotics and other senior officials of the State Government followed by a Press Conference at 10.45in Hotel Japfu on February 15.
