As part of Wildlife Week Celebration, Eco-Warriors Nagaland marked the celebration by organising an awareness programme under the themed “Wildlife Conservation through Co-Existence,” to educate students about the importance of wildlife protection and conservation. The programme was held at Bethal Agricultural School in Diezephe village on October 7.

Lesemew, Founder and Chairman of Eco-Warriors Nagaland delivered an inspiring address outlining the organisation's mission and ongoing initiatives dedicated to wildlife conservation. He stressed the significance of raising awareness during World Wildlife Week, encouraging students to take an active role in protecting their natural environment.

Tomal, a Research Associate from Azim Premji University and an avid birder from Northeast India, captivated the audience with insights into local bird species. He shared fascinating facts about the region’s avifauna, highlighting the importance of biodiversity and the role of birds in the ecosystem.

Akrieno delivered a speech on celebrating wildlife, reinforcing the message of co-existence between humans and nature. She emphasizing its significance and the role children can play in protecting wildlife. 

To encourage participation, a short quiz was conducted. Prizes were awarded to the winners of the quiz competition.

Later, the faculty Bethal AG School expressed gratitude to the Eco-Warriors for contributing to a positive atmosphere through the program, leaving students inspired to learn more about wildlife conservation.
