Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) extended its support and cooperation to the demand of the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and Hardware Merchants' Association (HMAD) for halting multiple taxations on a single product.
A press release issued by EDBA President Atoka Zhimomi and V/ President Azolo Nuh further expressed its opposition to the excess collection at DMC Gate by the lessee in the name of entry Tax and requests the government to look into the matter.
While appreciating the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC)’s prompt action of constituting a monitoring committee, it also appealed its Administrator to publish the government rate of Tool/Entry Tax to all the local newspapers alongwith product details for the convenient of the general public, it added.
The EDBA further greeted the Hindu community in Dimapur on the occasion of Dussehra and Durga Puja and has informed all business establishment to open their shop till late evening and on Sunday during the festival season for the convenience of the general public.
