Eden Medical Centre to resume services from today

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): Routine and Emergency services at Eden Medical Centre, Dimapur, will resume on July 28, hospital authorities informed on Monday. However, the Intensive Care Unit will continue to remain sealed.

“We want to inform the public that since the whole hospital and its premises has been disinfected, it is absolutely safe now,” EMC Director Dr Lima Imchen informed in a notice.

He also made a request to the public that “our hospital staff should be allowed to move in and out of their residence/colonies without which we will not be able to function efficiently.”

The hospital was temporarily sealed after a COVID-19 positive patient was diagnosed in its ICU on July 18 and shifted to the COVID Hospital on July 19. Following this, the ICU was immediately sealed under the order of the Deputy Commissioner.

The EMC Director informed that all protocols were followed in tracing the primary contacts and all were immediately isolated and are now being kept at quarantine centre. The ICU and the entire hospital and its premises have been sanitized by DMC, he added.
