Education a must to develop any society: PB Acharya

Dimapur, February 24 (DIPR): Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya today asserted that education is a must to develop any society. Education empowers a person and a person who is empowered by education should not be a seeker but giver of job, Acharya added during the inauguration of a VB Infants' Digital Home initiated by Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Dimapur at Kevijau village in Dimapur.  

He observed that many students graduating from different universities and colleges are not employable and are not assets to the society, while also sharing on the importance of skill education. The Governor further said that in addition to rich culture and tradition, the State of Nagaland has lots of natural resources with which the State can become second to none.

Acharya also released the first publication of annual magazine "Naga Bharati" during the function.  

Parliamentary Secretary M. Nikon in his speech lauded the Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Dimapur for initiating such a unique venture which could help build a productive India. He observed that opening of such digital home might seem a small start, but it is a revolutionary project and it should be taken to every district in Nagaland. He also released the Academic Calendar 2016.  

VB Infants' Digital Home is a computer based children digital pre-school. It aims to teach children through kids-cum-general laptop along with smart class learning process without school bag and books.
