Educational Fair underway at Kohima

Kohima, May 7 (MExN): A four-day Educational Fair organized by EduCentre with YouthNet under the IMPACT 5000 by 18 Program and in partnership with the Government of Nagaland and Runway began at the DeOriental Grand Hotel, Kohima on May 7. Krupanidhi Group of institutions is the event partner for the Educational Fair in Nagaland.  

The targeted groups are the outgoing students of classes 10+2 and Bachelors. Scholarships and work placement opportunities in India and outside are also available. Some top universities at the fair include Manav Rachna University, Parul University, Dev Bhoomi group of institutions, Study abroad University. The fair in Kohima will conclude in May 8 followed by May 9 and 10 in Dimapur, Hotel Acacia. Entry is free for all.  

A press note stated here that the Educational Fair is an interactive platform where students can meet some of the top reputed, accredited colleges and universities from all across the country and abroad. The fair presents a unique opportunity for students and parents to directly meet institutions offering different courses and get information about the career opportunities in the courses offered like engineering, hotel management, medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, management, commerce and IT or new age courses like animation, design, fashion, hospital management, digital marketing and more.  

The Director of YouthNet, Lezo Putsure in his welcome note addressed the need and importance of diverse education that helps in thinking beyond regular patterns.  

Director-SCERT, T. Sekhose while inaugurating the fair encouraged the students who came for the event to take this time as an opportunity to interact with the institutions so that it will help them think and make the right decision in starting their career. He quoted Alvin Toffler saying “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” He also mentioned that even though the world of employment maybe very limited in the Government sector, for someone who is willing to take the risk, willing to explore, willing to look beyond the traditional mindset will always find employment and for this to happen education is basic.
