Kohima, April 23 (MExN): The Edufest is scheduled at the Hotel Oriental Grand, Kohima on April 25-26. The career-defining event that has benefitted more than 3,50,000 students and parents so far over the last fourteen years, is being held in all the state capitals in the Northeast concurrently. Entry to all visitors is free.
“This is the 14h edition of Edufest, and we are privileged to bring leading educational institutes from India and abroad to the doorstep of students of Nagaland,” said Kaushik Barua of Lynchpin, organiser of Edufest and pioneer of career and education fairs in the Northeast.
Lynchpin fairs, Barua said, are attended by international government bodies such as British Council, USIEF and Royal Thailand Government. More than 200 top Indian and global institutes have participated in Edufest, considered the most comprehensive interaction forum for finding out within your comfort zone which course in which institution suits you best. This year’s exhibition has some of the finest institutions in the country participating including Amity, Hindustan University Sharda University to name a few.
“We have been participating in Lynchpin's exhibitions over the past few years and have found them to be very useful in reaching out to students of the Northeast and making them aware about UK education opportunities. These exhibitions are very professionally organized," said Marina Gandhi, education head of British Council, Kolkata.
Prema David, director admissions at Dayananad Sagar Institutions, Bangalore, said: “We have been participating in Lynchpin exhibitions since 2005 and they have been instrumental in creating awareness about high quality institutions across the country. I feel students and parents also have a lot of confidence in their exhibitions as they are the only ones who allow institutions to participate directly.”
N.Singh, whose seniors got into leading institutes in south India and Australia, is looking forward to Edufest. “I had been to Edufest in Shillong before and this is a great way for us to talk to representatives of high-quality institutions directly and find out about different courses.”
Parents too are looking forward to the most happening education fair“Edufest is very useful as I don’t have to travel all over the country, spend time, money and take leave to get my son admitted. I can get genuine information about leading institutions right here in Kohima” said N.Yaden eager to get her daughters into the best institutions within their means.
