EE Kohima informs on Wokha-Doyang Transmission line

Kohima, January 10 (MExN): The 132kV Wokha-Doyang NH-61 transmission line, traversing 10 villages, is scheduled for test charging at the rated voltage at 12 Noon on January 11.  Subsequently, it will be kept in an "idle charged" state, informed a public notice from Executive Engineer (EE) Transmission Division Kohima.

The transmission line passes through Longsa, Niroyo Nrung Longidang,Wokha, New Wokha, Koro, Koio Village, Chukitong Village, Tsungiki Village and Philimi villages. 

Accordingly, the notice advised the public not to touch the said transmission line or approach it for safety reasons.  Anybody doing so shall be doing at their own risk and the Department of Power shall not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever, it added.
