Kohima, July 14 (MExN): The Department of Power, Office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division has notified all concerned that the 132 kV Wokha-DHEP Transmission line passing through the jurisdictions of the few villages and town shall be test charged at the rated voltage at 12 noon on July 15 and shall remain charged thereafter upto the dead end tower at DHEP switchyard.
The areas include Wokha town; Longsa Village; Wokha Village; Yikhum Village; Old Ryphim Village; New Ryphim Village; Thillong Village; and DHEP area.
While notifying this in a press release, the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima further informs all the public not to touch the said line nor go near the same. “Anybody doing so shall be doing so at their own risk and the Department of Power shall not be held responsible for an untoward incident whatsoever,” said the Executive Engineer while adding, “This has the approval and clearances of the Chief Electrical Inspector Nagaland conveyed vide CEI/ W-4/2011-12/ 153-54 Dated 14.07.16.”
