Peren, February 3 (DIPR): Joint Commissioner of Goods and Services Tax, Bangalore, Government of India and Election Expenditure Observer (EEO), Soikhanthang, IRS, held a meeting with political parties of 6th Tening and 7th Peren Assembly Constituencies at Old Deputy Commissioner’s building in Peren on February 2. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Peren, Smita Sarangi, IAS, chaired the meeting, where Soikhanthang apprised of the ECI’s guideline on the limit a candidate can spend for election purpose by maintaining a separate bank account. He directed all intending candidates/agents of recognised/registered national and state political parties, and unrecognised intending independents to follow the expenditure monitoring mechanism for election.
