Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) commenced its audition for Miss Dimapur 2022 at Emporium Skill and Training Institute on June 30.
Miss Dimapur Beauty Pageant is being organised by Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN), under the theme ‘Culture & Couture-Synchronising Faces Fashion & Feminism.’ “The theme depicts harmony of Indigenous and Mongolian features combined with traditional and modern wear while uniting for women empowerment,” EGoN Media Cell stated in a release.
It stated that a good number of aspiring pageant contestants signed up for screening, whereby only 15 would be selected to move ahead for the title. The pageant competition is organised to promote pageantry and modelling in the state, whilst also having the optimism of having a Miss India or Miss Universe from pageantry organised by EGoN.
Miss Dimapur 2019, Zuchobeni Tungoe has represented the state in VLCC Femina Miss India, while Miss Dimapur 2021, Lovi Awomi, is the reigning VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland, 2022, it stated.
Besides the pageant, EGoN had organised two mega shows including 1st Northeast Supermodel Contest at NEZCC Ground Dimapur in 2004 and 2nd Northeast Supermodel Contest at Northeast Agri Expo in 2011, along with dozens of other fashion extravaganza shows.
The grand finale of Miss Dimapur will be held on August 12, at IMC Hall, commemorating International Youth Day.
