DFO DMU Head, Kohima, Chisayi inaugurated the Ehunnu village library on August 11.

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The Ehunnu village library and Tseminyu village resting shed was inaugurated by District Forest Officer & DMU Head, Kohima, Chisayi on August 11.
Both the infrastructures were constructed under the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) assisted by JICA under the component of Entry Point Activity and Water Harvesting Structure. The inauguration was done in the presence of Dr Sevono Seletsu, ACF & ADMU Head, Kohima, Yhuntilo Kent, FMU Head, Tseminyu and JFMC Chairman of the respective villages.
Addressing the Ehunnu village members, the DFO encouraged the village community to continue to work in unity. He also stressed on the importance of women's participation for overall development of the village community. The DFO further encouraged the Joint Forest Management Committee members to utilize the library for benefit of all.
While addressing the Tseminyu village members, the DFO said that NFMP is a people approach project for which he urged the village community members to work in cooperation for the project success. He also expressed happiness to know the decade old plan to construct the resting shed is finally materialized through NFMP. The DFO also visited the various Forestry Intervention Model areas of both the villages.
It may be mentioned that Ehunnu and Tseminyu villages are being selected under Batch -III for NFMP implementation under Divisional Management Kohima Division.
