
DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): Several organizations extended Eid greetings to the Muslim community of Nagaland on May 24.
A press release from the Chümoukedima Hindu Society (CHS) stated that “every festival has its special significance and serves the purpose of living together with peace and happiness and strengthens our base of understanding in building solidarity and fraternity amongst us.” The CHS hoped: “may the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness in your lives and spread the fragrance of peace and unity across the globe.”
The Dimapur Bengali Samaj also extended its Eid greetings and said that “may this festival bring in peace, happiness and prosperity and fellow feeling.” “May the almighty help us overcome the difficult times humanity is going through. May the occasion mark the end of all our troubles,” it added.
The NPF Minority Wing meanwhile said that Id-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and signifies the traditional expression of brotherhood and understanding between people.
“The festival reaffirms the spirit of compassion, charity and generosity in our lives. May the noble ideals associated with Id-ul-Fitr enrich our lives with peace, harmony and the spirit of humanity,” it stated.
