The Muslim community in Kohima the aegis of Kohima Masjid Committee (KMC) today celebrated “Eid-ul-Fitr” with great zeal and joy. Dressed in their best, the Muslim community here thronged the 3rd Assam Riffle ground and offered the Eid prayers as a thanksgiving for the month-long fasting.
The festival “EID UL FITR” is an occasion of love, compassion, forgiveness, brotherhood and is celebrated with joy and happiness. Meanwhile, the KMC acknowledged Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) and also Kohima SP, officers in charge of North and South police station for their security and traffic arrangements, commanding officer IGAR (N) 3rd Assam Riffle, all the officers and Jawans of 3rd Assam Riffle for providing ground in facilitating Eid-ul-Fitr congregation.
