CHESSORE, AUGUST 23 (MExN): Heavy rain claimed the life of an elderly man on August 22 in Chessore, under Tuensang district. The victim was identified as Mukhe Yimkhiung, a retired pipe fitter from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and a member of the village WATSAN (Water and Sanitation) Committee. According to the State DIPR, Yimkhiung was swept away by the flooding Ningdangke stream while returning from his field. His body was recovered in the evening, several hundred metres away from the spot.
