
Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The State Election Commission, Nagaland, has adopted the list of recognised national and state parties, registered unrecognised parties, and free symbols for the conduct of elections to Ward-11 (Zhipa) of the Pfutsero Town Council.
The adoption was made under Section 31 (1) of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, and Rule 19 of Part-III of the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules, 2023, in accordance with the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968, as amended.
National parties and their symbols include the Aam Aadmi Party (Broom), Bahujan Samaj Party (Elephant), Bharatiya Janata Party (Lotus), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (Hammer, Sickle and Star), Indian National Congress (Hand), and National People’s Party (Book).
State parties and their symbols include the Naga People’s Front (Cock), Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (Globe), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (Helicopter), and Nationalist Congress Party (Clock).
Registered unrecognised political parties and their symbols include Nagaland Congress (TMC) (Dao), Rising People’s Party (Pen Nib with Seven Rays), and United Naga Democratic Party (Hat).
