ECI expenditure observers arrive in Nagaland
KOHIMA, March 18 (DIPR):The Expenditure Observers appointed by the Election Commission of India for Nagaland reached the State on March 15. The two Expenditure Observers are to be stationed at Kohima and Mokokchung. Sushil Kumar Singh, Sr. Dy. IFA will be stationed in Kohima and is assigned to the Assembly Constituencies of Dimapur, Peren, Kohima, Pughoboto, Phek, Zunheboto and Wokha. K. Hauthung, IRS is stationed at Mokokchung and is assigned to Mokokchung, Mon, Longleng, Tuensang and Kiphire Assembly constituencies.

Peren BLOs asked to collect reimbursement
Peren (MExN): All the BLOs of 6-Tening and 7-Peren assembly constituencies under Peren district have been directed to collect the annual reimbursement for the block year 2013 (January 2013 to October 2013) in connection with Special Summary Revision of e-roll (wrt 1/1/14 as Q/D) from the office of the deputy commissioner & district election officer, Peren from March 18 to 31 during office hours by producing BLOs ID card without fail. Thereafter no payment will be entertained, stated a press release issued by Assistant Election Officer, Peren.

1st phase of election training held in Phek
PHEK (DIPR): The 1st phase of Election training for the presiding Officers and first polling officers for the forth coming Members of Parliament (MP) Election 2014 was held at Phek Town Hall on March 18. The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, C.M. Tsanglao,(IAS) Phek, exhorted the gathering and called upon the trainees to give their best efforts while discharging their duties.

“Either big or small we should work hand in hand for the successful of our duties/ performance; for which we need to equip our selves how to handle our self for better performance of our services,” he said. He called upon the trainees to be attentive in the training programme so that collective efforts can bring about success. He also called upon the trainees to cooperate with one another for successful implementation and smooth functioning of the election processes. The day long training programme was conducted by S.P. Raja, Senior Graduate Teacher, GHSS, Phek; along with ten EVM Master trainers. A lecturer from Phek College showcased the slide process of the EVM. About four hundred trainers attended the training programme.  

Mkg DC notifies on rates items on election expenditure
Mokokchung (DIPR): In compliance with the Election Commission’s instruction on expenditure on monitoring in Election, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has notified the rates of items of election for Mokokchung district.

The rates for hiring charge of loud speakers with amplifier and microphone, cloth banner, cloth flags, hoardings, posters and pamphlets, vehicles both heavy and light, advertisement in local papers etc. were specifically notified. The detailed rates of items are available on the DC’s Office notice board.

Schedule for 2nd phase of training under Pughoboto
Pughoboto (DIPR): The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer, Pughoboto has informed Presiding Officer under 13-Pughoboto Assembly Constituency that the 2nd Phase Training of Polling Personnel is scheduled on 25th to 26th March 2014 at the office from the ADC Pughoboto at 10:30 a.m. onwards. He also informed all Polling Personnel that the 3rd Phase of Polling Personnel training will be held on 7th April 2014 at the same venue and time. Therefore he directed all Polling Personnel to attend the said training without fail.

Training of polling personnel held at Peren
PEREN (DIPR): Training for polling personal for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections was held at Town Hall, Peren on March 15. The Training was conducted by Albert, Nodal Officer and Master Trainer from Peren, with all 271 polling personnel attending the programme.

Training on election expenditure held at Longleng
Longleng (DIPR): Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell Longleng conducted training for the forthcoming Parliamentary Election on March 18 at the Conference Hall of DC office Longleng. The training was meant for the Assistant Expenditure Observers, Accounting Team, Paid News, SVEEP and MCMC team. ADC Longleng T. Wati Aier imparted the training.
