DC & DEO Peren launches clean election signature campaign
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18 (MExN): As part of the campaign for clean election, a signature drive was launched in Peren district by DC & DEO, Peren, Smita Sarangi at Jalukie Town on February 16. The campaign is aimed at promoting the cause of clean election in the district. Students from different institutions took part on the first day of the campaign.
EO inspects expenditure register for 6 Tening & 7 Peren A/Cs
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18 (MExN): The first round of inspection of expenditure register for 6th Tening and 7th Peren A/Cs was conducted on February 15. Expenditure Observer, Saikhanthang, IRS, informed all political party agents to maintain and produce expenditure register properly.
Training on election expenditure monitoring cell held
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18 (MExN): Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell conducted training at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang on February 16. A DIPR report stated that the training was attended by all the political parties of Tuensang district. The training was conducted by the District Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell.
Randomization for polling officials held in Tsg
Tuensang, February 18 (MExN): The first phase of randomization for polling officials of Tuensang was held on February 18 at NIC Tuensang. The randomization, initiated by Rüüvisie Kehe, District Information Officer, NIC Tuensang, was witnessed by Central Election Observer, informed a press release from DC Tuensang office. The meeting was attended by all the political parties of the district.
Second randomization of EVMs, VVPATs in Pughoboto
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18 (MExN): Second randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for the 13th Pughoboto A/C was held in the presence of the Pughoboto General Observer, Mahesh I Patel, IAS, at the customary court hall, Pughoboto on February 16. A DIPR report stated that the General Observer did the setting of all the candidates in all the EVMs and VVPATs for the 33 polling stations under 13th Pughoboto A/C. The process was witnessed by the ADC & DEO, Pughoboto Avelu Ruho, RO Tiayanger, EVMs & VVPATs nodal officer Nhututa, representatives of political parties, master trainers and others officials. BEL Engineers for FLC & VVPAT, Bangalore, Shubham Chauhan and Gaurav Kumar thoroughly checked the machines and carried out the randomization as per the procedure. The 171 BSF ‘C’ Coy Panjipara, North Bengal Jawans provided tight security during the process.
