Electoral Roll Observer visits Phek

Phek, November 22 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary to CM Nagaland, Works & Housing & Finance Department, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS who is also the Electoral Roll Observer for Phek district visited Phek and convened meeting with Political Parties of the district at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek on November 21. 

The meeting discussed to have the best form of Electoral Rolls to be carried out in the days to come.  The meeting was chaired by DC & DEO Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam, staed a DIPR report. The observer encouraged the Political Parties to appoint a Booth Level Agent (BLA) whose role is very crucial to check and maintain the genuineness of the electoral roll. Yhome also emphasized the importance of special campaign in the district and urged the political parties to cooperate during the claims and objection period so that no voter is left behind.

 DC & DEO Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam informed the Political Parties to come forward, when any complaints relating to electoral roll for necessary corrections. Later the observer also visited polling stations under 19th Phek, Assembly Constituency.
