Mon, February 10 (MExN): The Electrical Sub-Division in Mon District has announced a disconnection drive targeting consumers with unpaid electricity bills and those involved in the illegal use of power. In a notice, Sub-Divisional Officer, Er Thanyalo Kath stated the drive will act against defaulting consumers and those engaged in unauthorised activities such as looping, hooking, using coil heaters, meter bypassing and other such activities.
The notice cautioned that consumers found involved in illegal use of electricity will face strict action as per prevailing laws and regulations. All consumers have been advised to clear their outstanding dues immediately to avoid disconnection.
