KOHIMA, AUGUST 4 (MExN): The Power Department has informed that disconnection of electricity supply on account of non-payment, meter tampering, hooking and other means of power theft is underway in Kohima and shall continue till the financial year ending. A press release from the department appealed to all consumers to clear any outstanding dues to avoid inconveniences. For non-receipt of bills, one may visit the department’s website www.dopn.gov.in. In case of any discrepancies with bills, one may approach the respective sub-divisional offices on all working days. Further, consumers have been asked to be cautious against making any sort of payments to employees of the department without any valid receipts. For any payments without valid receipts, the onus shall lie on the payer, the department informed.
